Alumni Program

The United Board's Alumni Program accepts contributions from alumni in support of their schools and promotes connections between schools and their alumni and friends in the United States and Canada.

Fundraising for schools:

The United Board accepts financial support from alumni for approved projects at United Board colleague schools in Asia.

In accordance with IRS regulations, contributions for Asian institutions must specify:

  • name of the school and
  • the approved project name (the United Board can receive designated gifts only for specific, approved projects, not for general use at overseas schools)

To contribute, make your check out to:

United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia
475 Riverside Drive
Suite 1221
New York NY 10115

Or, click here to give online.

Donations for approved projects for Asian institutions are tax-deductible in the U.S. to the full extent allowed by law. The United Board sends all contributions to the schools quarterly as designated United Board grants, along with a list of the names and addresses of the donors (excluding those who request anonymity).

If you have questions about approved projects, please contact the United Board.

Alumni may also consider various "planned giving" programs, many of which provide both current income and future gifts and may have additional income and estate tax benefits. The United Board's development staff is available to assist schools in developing and implementing fundraising projects and to alumni to discuss contribution opportunities, meet with alumni groups, conduct workshops, and assist in building and strengthening alumni associations.
